I splurged on this lovely autumn blazer from Celine which I bought secondhand online. My friend and I agreed that it’s a tad dated with its funky 80s color scheme and gold buttons. I didn’t know that there was some blue in the wool, but I think it looks perfect! I can’t wait to enjoy the cool autumn weather in this.
Also I finally have something to wear with my weird polka dot sci fi-esque blouse I bought from a consignment shop for $4 (some may advise against the contrasting pattern trend, but what can you do~ )
Lastly, here’s an album that I’ve been listening to on and off for the past couple months now. It’s Idle Labor by Craft Spells and even though this album is from 2011, it’s probably one of my favorites this year! My favorite track right now is Given the Time
Here are two things I’ve been wearing a lot this month. On the left is a pair of vintage Chloe court shoes I snagged a couple weeks back. Even though I’m tall enough as it is, a small heel is so dainty I can’t help it : ) On the right is a blouse I picked up from London this summer from a small boutique in Camden called Lily J. I wasn’t able to wear it until the cooler months because it has long sleeves. I kind of wish I had picked it up in black + white as well.
Here are a couple things I’ve been carrying in my bag. On the right is a book I finished this month, The Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing by Melissa Bank. I highly recommend it if you’re into ‘coming of age’ stories and such. It’s incredibly witty and a quick read as well.
I also repurchased a MAC Studiofix powder which I used to use back in the early years of high school (which is only like 3 years ago but). I also have a small tin that came for free with a box of sleepytime tea I bought a while back. I keep my backup green tea in there to use throughout the day! The small 50s perfume bottle and pill box I got from an adorable antique shop in Gothenburg.
I find that during the school year, I keep more things in my bag. Never in the summer does it occur to me to keep some light reading on hand or a 50s pill box or touch up powder.
So a few weeks back, lovely Jenny and I were cleaning out our makeup stashes and decided to organize a fun little swap of things we weren’t using so much anymore. And while Jenny was really on point about sending out her package as always, I have failed to do the same and am still kicking myself. (I PROMISE I’LL SEND IT OUT SOON!!!!) Anyway she sent me some fun samples which I can’t wait to try.
She also sent me some GORGEOUS blushes, which was much too kind considering I know what a blush addict she is. So far, I’ve been wearing the Anna Sui on the left constantly.
She even threw in some unused lashes which to be quite honest, I’m terrified of using because I can’t tell you how many pairs I have ruined because of my horrendous application skills.
Some pretty fall nail polishes! (Only adding to my ever growing red nail polish collection, ahem)
And lastly some pretty neutral quads which I am a sucker for! I haven’t tried them yet, but I’m very excited to play with them this weekend
